Parent’s Role in Junior Tennis
Understanding the Role Parents Play in Junior Tennis Success
Interview Study of Top Tennis Players, Parents, and Coaches
I ran across this interesting study done at the Michigan State University. The study was done under a USTA Research Grant for the USA Tennis High Performance Program. There has always been some controversy on how much involvement a parent should have in nurturing their junior’s tennis career. The goal of this study was to interview parents, junior tennis players and coaches to determine if there are approaches that were more effective in developing a tennis player. Click the link above to read the entire study. I will post some of the highlights on the blog.
